Ipoh City Council with the co-operation of Perak State Governmen, Perak Tourism Action Councilt and

Perak Amature Association (POAP)

PARTICIPATION

Participants must be above 13 years of age as on 1 Januari 2007.

Eligible participants will be categorised into 11 groups :

Group Category Age Group KM

A Men's Open 18 years and above 21

B Women's Open 18 years and above

C Men-Veteran 40 years and above

D Men's Open 13 years and above 10

E Women's Open 13 years and above

F Men-Senior Veteran 50 years and above

G Women Veteran 35 years and above

H Men's Open 16-18 years 7

I Women's Open 16-18 years

J Men's Junior 13-15 years 5

K Women's Junior 13-15 years

** Age limit for every category as at 1 Januari, 2007

TIME & VENUE OF FLAG OFF

Time of Flag Off 6:45 am

21 km 6.45 a.m

10 km 6.55 a.m

7 km 7.05 a.m

5 km 7.05 a.m

The run will start and finish at Dataran Ipoh, Greentown, Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan.

21 KM

Flag off at Dataran Ipoh,Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil,Persiaran Greenhill,

Jalan Sultan Idris Shah,Jalan Gopeng,Jalan Raja Musa Mahadi,Jalan Dairy,Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah,

Jalan Tasek,Jalan Kg. Simee,Jalan Ghazali Jawi,Lebuhraya Cecil Rae,

Jalan Kamaruddin Isa,Jalan Hospital,Jalan Chin Choon Sam,Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil,

Jalan Dato Seri Ahmad Said,Persiaran Bandaraya and finish at Dataran Ipoh.

10 KM

Flag off at Dataran Ipoh,Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil,Persiaran Greenhill,

Jalan Sultan Idris Shah,Jalan Gopeng, Jalan Tun Dr. Ismail, Jalan Kelab Golf,

Jalan Brash, Jalan Tambun, Jalan Hospital, Jalan Lee Kwee Foh, Persiaran Cecil Rae,

Lebuhraya Cecil Rae, Jalan Kamaruddin Isa, Jalan Hospital, Jalan Dato' Seri Ahmad Said, Persiaran Bandaraya and finish at Dataran Ipoh.

7 KM

Flag off at Dataran Ipoh, Jalan Gopeng, Jalan Tun Dr. Ismail, Jalan Kelab, Jalan Raja DiHilir, Jalan Canning Estate, Jalan Lee Kwee Foh,

Jalan Hospital, Jalan Dato' Ahmad Said, Persiaran Bandaraya and finish at Dataran Ipoh.

5 KM

Flag off at Dataran Ipoh, Jalan Gopeng, Jalan Tun Dr. Ismail, Jalan Kelab, Jalan Raja DiHilir,

Jalan Hospital, Jalan Dato' Ahmad Said, Persiaran Bandaraya and finish at Dataran Ipoh.

PARTICIPATION FEES

Every entry form has to be submitted with a photostated copy of the participant's NRIC or passport.

Postal order/Bank draft/Cheque for participation fees must be paid to "IPOH INTERNATIONAL RUN"

RUNNING TAGS NUMBER

Participants are required to collects their tags number from the Ipoh International Run

committee at Ipoh City Council, Greentown, Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan on 28 June, 29 June, 30 June and 1 July, 2007

between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

REGISTRATION CENTRE

All participations are required to register on Sunday, 1 July, 2007

between 4.30-6.00 am - 21km, 5.00-6.30 am - 10km and 5.30-6.45 am - 7km & 5km

at Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh, Greentown, Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan.

CLOSING DATE

SATURDAY, 23 June,2007 before 12.00 noon.

LATE REGISTRATION CHARGE IS RM 7.00 / US 2.00

SAFETY

Participants are required to run on the right side of the road except when instructed

by official or the police on duty. Private vehicles are not allowed to accompany the

participants during the run.

ATTRACTIVE PRIZES

1. First 5,000 participant will receive a free T-shirt, to be worn during the run.

2. Certificates of Participation will be awarded to participants who complete 21km in 120 minutes, 10km in 80 minutes, 7km in 50 minutes and 5km in 40 minutes.(The maximum number of certificate of participant that will be awarded are 1,500 for the 21km, 1,500 for the 10km, 2,000 for the 7km and 1,500 for the 5km)

3. Cashprizes for the first 20 winners of each category

4. Finishes medal will be awarded to participants as allocated for each category

5. Only the first 5 winners in each category will be called upon to receive their prizes.

I think the registration centre is for pre-race attendance taking.

Anyhow, most probably i will skip this... hahaha... then again i mite change my mind after next weekend's ipoh centennial run. Hey runwitme, where to get the white coffee from... and is the bean sprout chix halal or have a halal version?

heh...a few of us at SAFRA MF were just exploring the option of driving up in a convoy....makan and pitstops along the way... do an enjoyable run....then drive back.... nothing confirmed at this point....will see how many keen and can go

Run n Shutz.. many of our Mf runners are keen in this 21km Ipoh run... i am seriously considering as well... :rolleyes:

What the makan Attractions there? hhaahaa.. :yummie:

heh...a few of us at SAFRA MF were just exploring the option of driving up in a convoy....makan and pitstops along the way... do an enjoyable run....then drive back.... nothing confirmed at this point....will see how many keen and can go

drive up there, sound like a good idea..

how long is it to drive up there? and stay where?

21km is good distance.

Certificates of Participation will be awarded to participants who complete 21km in 120 minutes, 10km in 80 minutes, 7km in 50 minutes and 5km in 40 minutes.(The maximum number of certificate of participant that will be awarded are 1,500 for the 21km, 1,500 for the 10km, 2,000 for the 7km and 1,500 for the 5km)

So it means if take more than 120min to complete 21km, no certificate ah? no medal? my target time is 2.30 leh :Cry:

How's the route like eg slopes or flat? Anyone did the Ipoh Int'l run last year can give a review?

wow...din check the rules...but 120min for 21km a little stiff hor? :Nail Biting:

nvm...just go and enjoy the run, makan makan, and visit the farm lor (oy yah, some of us visiting the farm in Cameron Highlands after the run on Sunday, and staying over for a night before driving back to Sing on Monday.

the nearest to the starting point, But... we still hv not made the room reservation yet. <_<

Our plan ... to drive in convoy... leave Singapore on Sat, 4-5am .. stay a night at Ipoh.. leave for Cameron Highland after the run... Stay a night there... Reach Singapore on Monday Evening.. :) Will update U when our arrangements n bookings are finalised by next wk! :)

Heard it's within walking distance to the race site. 1N accommodation is estimated at S$75 per person for twin share

FYI ... the prize money is by fast runners to be "quite good". So some folks from HK will be running this as well. One of them is the webmaster of the HKRunners.com, Keith Chan.
