wah, AHM is here again..

To encourage more NSmen to participate in the Army Half Marathon, we will again be organising an NS unit race where NS units compete against one another.".. copycat of Singapore Biathlon..and PAssion Run also got Parent and Child category..ok, good for family.. copycat..who cares..

dr mok has always used 21km as his PB benchmark.. last year 1:08:18.. dr mok currently at christchurch nz with best friend..skipping run 350 due to injury.. and if there is one real one for his PB.. AHM shall be his benchmark..as an honour to his yardstick for using AHM.."in any race, distance must be displayed and accurately measured, so runners must know where they are, how well they are doing, and importantly enough, know how best they have performed"..

AHM..a benchmarked for half-marathon..quality by SAFRA..even dr. mok uses as benchmark PB..ok, don't anyhow challenge dr mok's 1:08:18, but do with consistant training..don't be like 21km standard chartered in 2011 with sudden death of young bro RIP...PB is personal.. dr mok reiterated it took him 6 years of AHM to improve by 10min..that is 1:18 in 2006.. and his philosophy is take time..at least 4-year..learn like the japs long-distance.. not like the american short-term chong 5-month tempo runs method..run for the fun and passion..not because you want to beat dr. mok..quote..run 350 workshop recently..uncle registered PB in AHM too..sub 2..can improve..gradually..why not...below 2 for this one..

btw.. like bro cassie pointed..monday..good one..uncle also laughed.. technical issues..registration postponed like PAssion Run..

yo, SAFRA..organising committee.. is this one 2017.. uncle checked sunday is for 3/9 2017..so very very early bird. GElection 2016 after...you ok or not?

If confirmed AHM is on Monday 3 Sept 2012 then it means only for SAF regulars unless there is a public holiday that day.

3 Sep is not a public holiday (unless they hold the Hougang election on that day and the govt declare it a public holiday not only for Hougang resident but for the whole of Singapore). I am quite sure it is a mistake (and that 3 Sep is not Hougang election and not everyone get a public holiday, only Hougang resident). Nobody organises a public run on a working Mon.

Most probably they have got the date wrong.
IMHO Could be 2 or 9 Sep instead as this are the 2 nearest Sundays.

Honestly, do we expect SAF to screw up on something that minor? Well, this one for memory.

just witnessed run 350-21km elites..at least 5 can easily be dr. mok timing types.. so there will be 350-21km challenging AHM 21km.. same distance same race..newbies can PB anytime AHM 21km..wah, means AHM 21km can take challenge even from sundown 21km also? this year got 2 of 21km types..no play play..

must admit.. 350-21km race route.. quite flat..not congested and competitive with kenyans and internationals yet.. and with sundown 21km race route 2012 having almost very similar AHM 21km race route in 2011, got kenyans and internationals for night race.. pose serious challenges..and some more 350-21km today got the best weather advantage for PB.. should be able to yayapapaya bros and sis of AHM 21km..go fly kites..at marina barrage..something that run 350-21km route does not have.. theirs at tanjong rhu PCNs and Stadium Walk with Sports Hub..

as more 10k competitors upgrading/upgraded to 21km.. looks like AHM 21km if got challenge from run 350 type - executives/youth unions types, of got sundown 21km - nightbirds, cannot race day because too hot or cannot run day race due to work commitments.. and if all two 21km superpowers can compete in AHM 21km with the best of Army/Navy..wah.. can feel the alpha male and beta female ultra competitiveness..so 2012.. the best of the best 21km best award.. shall be decided at upon AHM 21... challenging race route, administration, race pack collection, race day, medals and other surprises..medals got F and M or not?..wet towels?..of course..ice cream?..but one thing uncle knows.. 350-21km or sundown 21km runners still have not met the real warriors of the SAFRA AHM 21km elites runners type yet.. respectful..kept low profile..awaiting..

yo, date how.. August.. or September?.. not like PAssion Run.. may have to close down for technical maintenance issues..

Run society is not SAFRA le. Some more link to SAFRA web page which now still show 2011 info.
Let's wait for official news. This is long running event.
