CBD Runners Gather - 2015 (Every Tuesday) cbd run

tag along this thread: i work at ORQ, but v sotong abt the route to MBS...ok.if i run along tht ORQ pavement, at the end of the road,I turn left (is it?) ...and this can lead all the way to Flyer?...i f yes, then i can run one loop back from Flyer/Esplanade back to ORQ?...distance will be?

if u take the road between ORQ and NTUC building, you'll come to a juntion where a left turn will point you towards MBS

run past MBS shoppes, helix, etc, and at the end of this road theres a small hill with a traffic junction. turn right at this junction and you'll get to the Flyer. Anyway Flyer can see from very far right. Wont get lost one

unfortunatly the section at the Flyer has alot of fences thanks to F1 season now. still can run.. but not so nice

distance from ORQ to Flyer.. maybe 2k? from flyer u can continue on marina promenade for a few (3?) more K before hitting more obstacles.

It WAS raining yesterday i heard. Tigger did ran..but on a shorter route, so that tigger can take the opportunity to do helix, MBS area. I guess the route is about 5km+.

The route can be a good recovery run, can consider to put it down as an official route for CBD run.

there was once at cbd run got major thunderstorm. at the stretch alongside ORQ i was prepared to turn back already cos i thot its wayy too heavy a rain to run.

then as i turned around a whole bunch of the CBD run ladies charged past me. felt kinda paiseh so continued running.

boss, for the CBD indoor stadium route, can we perhaps change to running along nicoll highway during this F1 season?

eg, after esplanade brigde (if still using tt) instead of turning right towards the Flyer, we continue running straight, past Suntec, and then eventually that will take us to indoor stadium too.

it may not be very safe because the traffic is quite heavy.

we will only do this very early (wee hours) in the morning.

everytime F1 comes around, they'll put all the blockages up, so frustrating.

wa i miss the days when CBD run could do the marina south route

I love that route too until wild dogs started appearing there !!!

It WAS raining yesterday i heard. Tigger did ran..but on a shorter route, so that tigger can take the opportunity to do helix, MBS area. I guess the route is about 5km+.

12 sept - Army Half Marathon 2010

Errm..what does the +++ mean?

for example...tonight we will be running the set D (zouk) route..

towards the end of the run, we will try to do 6X 30 storeys of stairs...

so does 6 + means we are running the distance x 6?

Not entirely.

For Zouk route, it means we will repeat climbing the stairs. So thats 6 repeats of 30 storeys.

For Mt.Faber, it means we will do repeats of the 1.6km loop on top of Mt.Faber but will run to Mt.Faber and back just once.

For Fort Canning, it means we will do repeats of the 1km loop on top, but will run to Fort Canning and back just once.

The Singapore Indoor Stadium route was originally a 13.5km route but has got changed due to F1 construction and all that.

awesome..was kinda shocked by the distance (7.5 x 6) at under 1hr 30...see you guys there..my first CBD run

LOL. u read wrongly. It is 7.5k run followed by 6set of staircase (30 storeys in total)

I am dead by the 4th set. LOL. And the mouse was on steroid! Sprinting all the ways, followed by 6 sets, then pushup. LOL. Amazing man!

Thanks for the run today...the stairs were the ultimate killer... Thanks for the advice people..gonna push harder next time...do 4 sets maybe?

glad that you guys enjoyed the run last night :)

the "rabbit" pacer has made a guest appearance last night...

you are lucky to be able to see her in action :thumbsup:

too bad, thomas was not around last night to give babumouse the extra "push" during his run...

else, u will see both of them in turbo mode :D
