Got lah! RunningGuild races and some tri/bi/VM proceeded as plan. Safari Zoo Run Forest Force 50 seems to be going ahead.

You mentioned this same thing in another thread but I did not reply to your comments then.

Then you mentioned this again in this thread is unforgivable when I had already summarised in the 1st post of this thread of the summary of the races postponed/cancelled AND races that proceeded as planned.

All my races that I signed up seemed to be postponed or cancelled.. just waiting for Eco run only... a few of my frens waiting for London and Boston... if all these races are postponed or cancelled, there are really a lot affected..

Why only single out London and Boston? A lot of runners are already affected right now with the cancellation of Tokyo marathon, Nagoya Women's marathon, Seoul marathon... the list goes on.

Kenyan runners livelihood are already affected now because of these.... For many runners, running a marathon is leisure but to them they depend on prize money to feed their families... they are more badly hit than others...

OhMyGod,

All ticketed cultural, sports, and entertainment events with 250 participants or more are to be either deferred or cancelled, announced Minister for Health and co-chair of the multi-ministry task force on Covid-19 Gan Kim Yong on Friday (Mar. 13).

Looks like this effectively postponed/cancelled all running events.

Ticketed events with 250 participants or more to be deferred or cancelled under COVID-19 social-distancing measures: MOH

SINGAPORE: All ticketed cultural, sports and entertainment events with 250 participants or more are to be deferred or cancelled, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Friday (Mar 13).

If tickets have been sold for these events, organisers must demonstrate that satisfactory precautionary measures are in place before they can proceed, the ministry said.

For all other mass gatherings including private functions and religious services, MOH has advised precautions. These include reducing the scale of events to below 250 participants where possible, reducing the crowding of participants and improving ventilation.

"The basic idea around social-distancing is to reduce density and crowdedness. So that’s the basic objective," said National Development Minister Lawrence Wong said at a press conference on Friday.

"Because many event organisers need some benchmark or a simple guide; we’ve used 250 as a guide to let event organisers know roughly where to benchmark their events, the size of their events.

"Obviously it’s more complex than a single number. You would want to think about the density of the event, you would want to think about the duration of the event, and you would think about the nature of the event."

Mr Wong added: "There is no point having social-distancing (at one place) and then later on you go outside and everybody shares the same food, for example."

In its news release, MOH advised event organisers to put in place temperature and health screening measures; to turn away persons who are unwell; and to put in measures to facilitate contact tracing if needed.

“Participants could be seated at least one metre apart from one another, and be advised to reduce contact with others,” MOH added.

WORKPLACES, ENTERTAINMENT VENUES ADVISED TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS

MOH advised employers to put in place measures to reduce close contact where feasible. It gave examples of implementing tele-commuting and video-conferencing, staggering work hours and sitting spaced apart in meeting rooms and work stations.

Owners and tenants of venues which are publicly accessible were also advised to take precautions where possible.

These include setting seats at least one metre apart at dining venues, limiting the number of visitors at any one time at venues at entertainment venues and tourist attractions such as casinos, cinemas and theme parks.

Sports centres with indoor facilities like gyms and private academies could also limit the number of patrons and introduce physical separation measures, MOH said.

The advisories  for events, gatherings, workplaces and venues will be “subject to further review based on the global situation”, MOH added.

It is possible SCSM will not be held too, even though it is at year end.

High chances it will also skip a year. We should know Ironman's decision by end June.

Chicago Marathon will take place on Sunday 11 October 2020

End of uncle's mission on WMM updates, as well as Local Races which respective Forum Threads shall have someone updating on the impact of Covid-19 on their respective races.

Only road race uncle is interested will be SCSM 2020 (dec 5 - year end), with existing and future trail running and triathlon races (not affected so far).

Trail running events are normally in Open Space, and the routes are narrowed to only 1 to 2 person in distance, hence 1m is possible as "social distancing".

Same with multievent sports like Triathlons which operate as age-group starts in waves, and so it will likely not be affected by All ticketed cultural, sports, and entertainment events with 250 participants or more are to be either deferred or cancelled, announced Minister for Health and co-chair of the multi-ministry task force on Covid-19 Gan Kim Yong on Friday (Mar. 13).

Until WHO announcement of "Covid-19 Free", all local races (250 participants and above unless they  choose to start in mass waves) will be expected to be postponed, cancelled or location move, like 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but to where? 😀

Be strong, stay "actively" in running program and maintain "social distancing".
