OhMyGod,

COVID-19 is no play play, better be safe than sorry. Run alone or with a few friend is ok.

Use this time to upgrade your running techniques/ skills.

Some local races in March are still going ahead, such as Spartan race at Sentosa on 28th March. Safari Zoo Run the next day should also still be on, hopefully, as no news of postpone has been announced till now.

Well, perhaps they can just limit the number of spectators and people cheering. No high fives for now until this is over.

Just the minimum amount of staff to man the hydration/aid stations (with face masks of course),  the timing chips and mats will take care of the timing automatically.

They can also cancel the pre race expo (except the race kit pick up, of course!) and cancel the post race festivities.

Avoid delays at the starting pen so people won't stick too long together in a big group! Oh, this will be a race for sure, everybody will want to avoid the congestion in the first few kilometers from the start and be trying to avoid crowding together so we'll all be hitting new personal records hahaha...

I can imagine it now... ok, everybody, just run, then go home immediately after crossing the finish line!!! 😆

The 2020 Seoul Marathon Has Been Cancelled Due to Coronavirus

I'm actually stunned by how fast it started spreading there in Korea.  😱

Just a few days ago since I last logged in here it was just a few cases there, then this!  😲

Actually, if you have taken part in multisports events, races continued as scheduled (with COVID-19 restrictions and measures taken)

Also, Trail Running race is still "ON"

You still can sign-up:

Uncle had been trail running in the past weekends including meeting them taking the video...and uncle was invited to be "calefare" runner...😄

Aiya, route change, uncle already ran the route for the 50km already and shared...

In the meantime, keep training, and stay outdoors! 'cause "in an open space, you won't catch the virus from a passing person"

ok, everybody, just run, then go home immediately after crossing the finish line!!!

hopefully, as no news of postpone has been announced till now.  Cancel - Elites only or Virtual Run. NO REFUND.  ☹️

Lastly, it is reported, the COVID-19 Super-spreader (in Europe) is a marathoner Runner.

msn.com-How-Italian-doctors-failed-to-st

Run alone or with a few friend is ok. "a friend he went jogging with" was infected by COVID-19 (as reported).

Shh 😷... don't ever let everyone know, you are a marathoner Runner. For you are now likely "targeted" as Super-spreader of the World  - BAN or Restricted Entry to Any Country because you declare yourself as "marathoner Runner".

COVID-19 is no play play, better be safe than sorry.

Just call me Uncle, I am very safe. The moment WHO announces COVID-19 Free, then I am an "Ultra Runner". Cheers!

Hahaha. I know Kohpapa is just joking, but I will just hide my running shoes in my check in baggage. When they ask me why I have running shoes, I'll just say: "I like them because they look fashionable". 🤣 Why do you have energy gels? "Ah, I get hungry sometimes." 😜 Why are all your clothes technical fabric? "It's hot!!!" 🥴

It turns out that the Italian marathoner didn't spread the virus by participating in a race. He was feeling sick (thought it was only a cold) and saw doctors three times already who thought it couldn't be COVID-19 and just an ordinary flu because he hasn't been to China. Even if it was just the ordinary flu though, he shouldn't have been running around!

These times are different and require different measures. If you have any symptoms at all (even if it turns out to be just ordinary cold, flu) don't race, wear a mask and stay home.
