Kipchoge won the 2017 Berlin Marathon where Bekele failed to finish the race. Kipchoge, the 2016 Rio Olympic champion, will be going for an unprecedented fifth title on his fifth appearance at the London streets, having won the event in a course record time of 2 hours, 02 minutes and 37 seconds in 2019.
