One small thing...

looks this is the first 21km road run event BYOB, (save the environment and save the event cost, but except for the runners :)

they said they hv water refill points, but don’t know how many. We know 21km run sweat a lot and sufficient hydration is a must. Any one hv any ideas?

BYOB simply means no cups will be provided.  They will likely just leave the water containers and PET bottles lying on the tables for the runners to grab and fill up on their own .

I am quite sure the usual "hydration point every 2-3km" still applies.

So basically they are now using Height+Weight as sizing. Seems to be what 2XU is also doing.

I never understood how the sizing works. Do your height+weight really gives a good indication of the fit?

Anyone who has bought compression shorts before can comment?

Alamak. Now then say

I decided not to sign initially because it was a BYOB race. But I would probably still join if I know it was an ELM medal race.

I know still not too late to sign up but I already made other plans for that day. :growl:

Here's a clearer view of the front and back of the medals. I dun understand why you need to post a video of the medals (unless it has some moveable elements) when a static picture is so much better!

Distance inaccurate.

Did 1:36 for this race. But then not used to byob format as keep having to stop and refill water bottle, hence building momentum hard.

Inaccurate meaning the distance is too short or too long?

think I saw you at tanjong rhu park connector yesterday evening. you seemed liked just finished your run or something.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH, WE ARE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👏👏👏😆😍🤩

As my Garmin recorded, the distance I ran is 20.63KM. Because of BYOB, while I was running, most of the time I had to hold a 500ml bottle in my right hand, which caused me to run off-balance, and made my left hip joint hurt.... The other things are good with around 1500 turnout...

By now we should have already established that the distance will never be accurate in races like this. Those recording personal PB records should also by now know what to do for such issues.

Was asking more about the race experience and logistics....

1 thing good is that they sms you tour results when u cross the finishing line...

would be good if they put wooden planks on the small section of grass patch before going to ecp... it was dark and there are hole on the grass patch...

Every 4km hydration points seems long for me....
