Thank you for the update, bro. I would like to join this hilly/challenging but interesting race again, if my schedule permits this year. ?

I thought someone has to redeem himself? Lol...

This run is quite refreshing from the usual GBTB & the opportunity to go into Changi Prison compound.

To avoid the confusion, we' better merge both threads, or keep the older one only.

I'm looking for the next event to join, and browsed through last year's review for YRPR.

Read Lonewolf's post that there's no isotonics provided? Went to YRPR website, and didn't sponsors/ isotonics.

On top of that, the far off location, and potential bus queue on the return trip.

Think I'll pass on this one

If you have not run this race before, I cannot recommend this race strongly enough. I ran this race since 2013 (apart from that one year where the race was canceled because of the haze) and always enjoyed it.

The novelty factor of this race is super high just because there is no other legal way for any of us law-abiding citizens to run inside the Changi Prison Complex. The route is challenging and refreshing and its a usual departure from the usual city, park or reservoir routes featured in 80% of the races here.

Yes. It is a bit challenging to reach the race site. But the bus shuttle services (both paid and free) are reasonably well managed. Sure, there are minor shortcomings here and there every year but nothing too catastrophic.

So I hope you reconsider joining this race.

Seriously. It's a no-brainer (for me). Most definitely 100% YRPR

I still rem in 2015, this race not only clash with POSB run but Run Against Cancer as well. And I think another neighobourhood run.

Even though RAC was another streak race, I choose to give that up and maintain the streak for YRPR.

Decide wisely! Do a run and be forgiven :good:, OR do a different run and be hunt forever for some guilt. 8)

Agree with lonewolf what he had said.

This is an once per year race event that you can go in lawfully into Changi chalet. Route is not flat with some up slopes. If you are sick of usual GBTB, this is the race to consider.
