This is one of the persistent "Trinity Run" for 10km, 21km and 30km.

Early bird has been extended to 15 January 2019 according to the official facebook !

I'm not sure whether the 10% off the early bird rates Promo code : TPMR18 still valid ? It was valid few days ago.

Despite some of the yearly negative feedback such as part of the route were very dim, the "voodoo" purple drink, some route not properly covered and ... it is still one of the favorite Saturday evening race !

Thank you very much to "lonewolf" for posting this thread, I was looking for this.

And found something interesting on their website, not sure why the 21KM is treated differently, should be a typo... ?

Seems like they ditched Pere Ocean and now is a new mineral water company Aquila onboard for hydration.

What would be the isotonic drink served then?

I signed up HM. Planning to use it as a gauge for SDM; didn't do any competitive event this year.

I signed up 30KM, which is a distance I did never run before, previously the furthest I ran is 25KM. I participated 20 HM races in 2017 and 2018, but so far I still do not have any plan (confidence) to push myself to FM, mentally it's "mission impossible" for me... ?

You will be fine (sounds like you have many mileage under you already). From now til 2 weeks before race day, do more long runs (21 - 27 km).

Where got new? This yr (2018) already got 30km. AR dreaming again as usual! :fish:

Actually, the isotonic isn't the only reason why I won't join this race. For a race site that is so ulu, min must have a bridging free shuttle bus from Stadium MRT. The shirt design is awful. The bag deposit usually a nightmare.  And except for one year (ELM medal!) the finisher medal quality is usually poor.

So even if they managed to get 100+ to sponsor the isotonic, I probably still won't join. Going for SZR the next day instead.

The race time for 21km/30km is now earlier at 6pm ?. The previous (2018) starting time was 7:30pm.

Let's say if run at the worse timing of 4.5hrs (cut off time), still can finish the run by 10:30pm. So it is still not too late if need to catch bus/train home.

Should be good enough reasoning to sign up, unless those negative feedbacks (poorly lit route/run out of finishing medal/run out of finisher t-shirt size, etc) from previous Marina Run really put you off.

Based on the FAQ from their website, there will be bridging bus service to Stadium MRT

https://www.marinarun.com.sg/faq

Free shuttle bus service from Stadium MRT station CC6 to Gardens by the Bay East at Rhu Cross <-----> (Return shuttle service between Stadium MRT & Gardens by the Bay East will run from 3:30pm to 11:30pm (on a first come first serve basis).

- Race Pack collected today, took 3 mins, no queue.

- I noticed that their take out a plastic water gun from the goodie bag before handing it over to the runner, not sure why... Maybe they want to reduce our load. Thank you for that.

Any one studied the route?

We see the route run thru the barrage, any idea on we need to climb the “spiral ramp mountain “ over there?

Assuming you aren't the fastest runner, then you don't have to know. I will just follow the others, or the volunteers... ???

Looking into the map, really can't tell whether we need to climb the "mountain". it doesn't look like so. But the direction arrow in that area looks a bit confusing, need to correct:

All categories will need to climb the Marina Barrage slope this year, @ZZIZZ and @Haibei1971.

Thank you for the confirmation, I believe that your information is accurate, as you are one of the pacers/marshals.

Sigh..... we actually don't have to climb up that slope, we can make up this distance at east coast park.........?‍♂️?‍♂️

No problem. Yup according to my insider sources, this is what I have been told.
