you taking up the free race offer?  HK is a trail route with elevation.

Should be interesting to take. Just need to note on the condition, it never mentioned in the registration. Otherwise it's really free.

This event shall be a BYOB?

I reviewed the race e-guide, but didn't find "BYOB". It just says:

------------------------------------------------

18. CP FOOD and BEV 食物and飲品站 / 檢查點
• Healthy and nutritious snacks will be served at start/finish point in addition to water and electrolyte hydration TBC.
• TBC Hydration mix available to all participants at the 2 water points on the course and at the start/finish point.

------------------------------------------------

You may want to check with the organizer and ask for their clarification: https://s.tgr.run/contact/

The flag-off time looks a bit late, could be hot...

------------------------------------------------

START TIMES

42km – 7am*
21km – 730am*
10km – 8am*

------------------------------------------------

But it's expected and understandable, as Coney Island can only open after 7AM, the flag-off time for all the races which need to pass through Coney Island is always around 7AM, can't be earlier...

" We feel a sense of responsibility towards the environment we depend on, and continue to strive for zero waste events ". I think don't have to say, it a green organizer.

Organizer also clarified over email that it is indeed a BYOB event.

They should have highlighted this bigger. Some runners are going to miss it and will say they do not know about it.

This Punggol Waterway is more like a road run than a trail run, that why many runners will think it not a BYOB event.
