So how do we manage the dogs' issues? So, seriously, if one crazy dog comes running towards you, how to react ?

Some of the tips given when I googled:

'Avoid eye contact, stop moving, '

'You can also slowly move your bag/backpack/sweater in front of you to shield yourself'

'Keep your hands down, don’t become hectic, don’t shout or scream.'

'Do not walk directly towards/past the dog. Instead, move in a curve around it and try to keep your distance'

https://www.findingtheuniverse.com/who-let-dogs-out10-tips-for-dealing/

Lastly, pray real hard :phew:

OK. I know what to do....carry some dried dog food with me.   Now let's go to the issue of rain which is becoming very frequent these few days. Is a poncho sufficient? If there is drizzle but no lightning, I think I will continue my jog instead of waiting out at a shelter (or bus stop).

My best policy when comes to dealing with stray dogs....safety in numbers! Try to tag along with another person or group if possible when passing by the Pasir Ris Farmway and Seletar areas after dark. I'm sure we've of heard lone runners getting attacked by stray dogs...but never do we hear group of runners being attacked 😅

Hi everyone, this is my final question before the run. Can we run on any side of the road? Because sometimes, one side of the road has better tree shade than the other side. I would prefer to run on the shady side but I also do not want to be the odd lone runner.

Yes you may, as long as the other side of the road has pedestrian walkway as well. Parts of the route only has 1 side of the road which has a walkway, for example Seletar North Link after Yishun Damn to Punggol Marina. So you'll need to stick with the side with the walkway for safety reasons.

Fellow Craze Ultra runners, here's my personal checklist for the key items to bring along on race day:

1. Hydration sufficient to last about 15km (maximum distance between CPs is about 13.5km)

2. Muscle rub and plasters

3. Light snacks/food (muesli bars, gummy bears and dates)

4. Energy gels/supplements (Tailwind for me)

5. Cash (super important, as they'll be many shops/convenient stores/eateries along the way)

6. Mobile phone (with the route map pre-loaded inside for navigation)

7. Cap/visor

I'll also be putting a special needs bag at CP4 (Lorong Halus) with the following items inside:

1. Vaseline (reapply for anti-abrasion)

2. Fresh socks

3. Power bank

4. Light snacks/food and energy gels/supplements to be carried along for the return journey

Can I collect the bib at 6.15am tomorrow before the 7.15am race ?

You can. But you will not have access to the special needs dropoff at CPs that closes at 5.30am.

These are all stated in the event page.

Thanks, Beast. I am not bringing any special needs bag. I believe the wonderful selection of food and beverages at the CPs should be more than sufficient for my lightweight body. OK, so I can save my time coming down this evening to collect.

Lastly, I wish all runners in this Craze Ultra 2018 a great time tomorrow.

Been so busy at work and unprepared for this. Haha

Don't worry bro, i hope it comforts you knowing that you're not alone in being unprepared hahaha

But you're an experienced 101kmer....so your experience will be more important that physical preparation in carrying you past the finish line.

Thank you for your encouragement. I participated around 20 HM races in 2017 and 2018 so far, so I know my limit is at 25KM, can't do further~~~
