It's a evening run. My family can support me. Most race are too early for them to wake up...😁

No proper contact address.

I google their address and phone number. Seems like there's a few private companies sharing it.

If you participated the "Singapore Kindness Run 2018" at east coast park on last Sunday, you will probably hear about the name of "HooGa+" on the lucky draw section, they also have their App. Looking at their website, the pattern and design looks similar to sg ultra marathon... That's all what I know.

sgultra marathon is organised by EPIC-ESR. The same organiser as the Marina Run. I dun think they are the same organiser behind this run. They have never been shy to have their name on the website.

The fact that both websites look similar may be because they are using the same template possibly from a web design/hosting site called Wix. In fact, the FB link for this run is pointing to Wix, which confused me initially.

So as of now, the organiser for this race  :iiam:

I know I post a lot of race details in this forum. But that is to share news of races that I had come across.

The news are mostly not even that hard to come across anyway. But the difference is that I bother to take the trouble to post it here for the benefits of all.

And you are of cos free to contribute if you have the information. But pls lah. There's no need to be sarcastic about it.

Since when have I claimed to be an expert in anything?  <_<

Would you rather I stopped posting? -_-

Lolz, I was thinking of the same thing when considering whether to register for this event. However, was not able to find any mention of who the organizer was from the website.

Thanks for pointing it out bookie. GradeOne Capital Pte Ltd it is.

I think Lonewolf just missed it in the same way i did. To be fair, who the organizer was is not clearly highlighted on the main page, or on the main links at the top of the website. Even after you pointed out who the organizer was, I went back to the website and still was not able to find it at first glance. Had to specifically look at your post, and go back to the web page in order to locate the organizer.

Did a quick google for the organizer hoping to find a portfolio of events previously conducted, but i did not see any results.

To be honest I also never notice it as well. Like what warp9web said it is not very prominent.

How many more people do you want to insult to boost your eagle eye ego?

He is bookie ma... all he is after is money from illegal gambling?

Might be a little risky to take part in this race as too little information... had too many experienced of 1st time races having logistics problems...

Hi All

Sorry sorry. Lomg time never come in.

I read about many questioning who is organizer. Rest assure this event is NOT by Xavier Bay, nothing to do with Xchange Republic too.

Instead, it has to do with my Punggol North Community Sports Club (the team behind NorthEast Compressport Run 2015).

Just like many recent runs, run for light 2018, Performance series 2018- Punggol Waterway leg, Etc..

Due to budget issues (grants, etc), we had explore and move into collaborate with event company to co-organize run for our run community.

If anyone ran in Run for light, this Hooga run is by the same team too.

Ideas room and Punggol North CSC bring to all this run.

But the OWNER of this run is by the apps company, Hooga apps.. as they are the title main sponsor.

Hope this explains.

    • Bro -  sounds like you B****ing for the sake of it. It is clearly stated as a no frills event with a low price however there will be clear support to ensure runners have hydration and some food. The organisers have run in events so they would be pretty blur if they screwed around with providing hydration. It's also in ECP. So there are regular bathrooms.

There was once a story of an army guy who had his maid carry his bag for him....  :p
    • I just read this https://www.challenge32.runpilgrim.com/faq I find this race a bit funny...They literally use "SCM" branding to advertise thats its a good tune up for SCM. SCM may sue them for using their branding to advertise their race. Its the only race that dare to use another race to advertise their race. Weird... They use words like...Hmm, if u dun want, then ok loh type of feeling. (U dun want the tee, just write in hor). Also paper cup not much..etc, The whole feel is like cheapo cheapo feeling. Baggage u all might as well dun need also feel. Comm'on lah..Might as well dun provide anything..we run ? Since u everything also dun want this, dun what that. What do u mean by <<Hard-pressed to put together a last-minute event upon understanding that the annual Newton Challenge may not be happening, >> ?? Actually U hardpress is your business, we runners wants a good and proper race ! Even Newton challenge may not be happening, dun sound like oh...just suka suka come up with a race similar to Newton. Newton challenge may not be happening, does'nt mean u just form up a last min race to entertain us also. Its perfectly ok to have a new race that offer long distance also, why keep emphasizing newton run dun happen so just suka suka hardpress to have one. Why hardpress ???   I dun know lah..i have some trust issues with this race and may not sign up.
    • I have read FAQ of this race. This event is a last minute due to the annual NC most probably not happening.  Plus Newton threw it's weight behind this event by being one of the sponsor.  Do take note that those who wants to deposit their bags will need to pay $5 during race pack collection.  https://www.challenge32.runpilgrim.com/faq
    • Hard-level will involve climbing and going downhill of steep mountains with high elevation, running through dense forestation, getting yourself wet from running cross small streams, getting lost due to poor visibility from fog etc. Of course not in Singapore, but overseas.
