I participated this race too. And I extended 6KM more at the first U-turn point (around 4.5KM at East Coast Park), towards Parkland Green direction. I even met several groups of RD/SCSM training team on the midway, frankly I really wanted to join them but... I signed up this CSC race long time ago. To avoid looking weird, I even hid my bib😆😆 When I ran back to the 4.5KM U-turn point, I believe that I was running behind all the runners (assuming all of them could finish 4.5KM within 1 hour). The volunteers even were packing up stuff at water station (at around 5KM), no cup left, so I had to grab a full 1.5L bottle water, then holding-drinking-running... After I passed Marina Barrage, I just managed to catch up the troop.  Frankly the route design at GBB East is a bit confusing, it will be much better if there is a specific indication on the e-guide. Also, some water stations were short of cups, (probably because I was running slow/behind). Luckily the volunteer at  Float Platform told me that "no more cups at the next water station", so I just held a paper cup and finished the rest of race. It's the first time I ran further than 25KM, quite exhausting but interesting experience... there is not much time left for me for SCSM preparation...😶
