I'm ok with the design, but isn't 10cm in diameter HUGE??  Too big isn't really nice.

This is about the same size as the gold coast marathon FM medal.. which Is really huge....

The 10 cm gold-plated medal only for FM.

HM gets 5 cm medal. Maybe silver-plated.

10K get 2.5 cm medal. Probably bronze-plated.

Disclaimer: Last 2 pt I say one. Ironman never says anything yet.

Almost 3 month until the marathon and still no announcement on the official route? I can only hope they may be doing something drastically different this year which takes time for LTA to approve ?

Last year the official route was revealed on 31 Aug.

I thought this year should be about the same? They are only shifting to a night race next year.

The starting point for SCMS this year is at Marina Bay . No more Orchard Rd.

Oh ya I forgot. Thanks for reminding. Looks like the usual kind of route if it starts at F1 pit area then.

I think the answer is pretty obvious.  ECP!

Take any of the HM races that had been held at F1 building eg. 2XU, Income Eco Run, even SDM and extend the route here or there, maybe incorporate some of the last yr route and I doubt any of us will be too surprised when the final route is revealed. -_-

    • Congrats Uncle for hitting your goal!
    • uncle started inspiration from Dr Phil Maffetone on Endurance Training and Racing for Triathletes Are you a triathlete, runner, cyclist, swimmer, cross-country skier? Learn how to stay healthy, achieve optimal athletic  I borrowed from National Library Board many years ago, better plan to get it soon...All NLB will close 7/4 to 3/5 during the 1-month Circuit Breaker because of Covid-19. Importantly during the 1-month Sports, to learn and adopt proper techniques (mechanics) in multi-event Running, Cycling and Swimming. To be efficient means discipline to do it right, and do the right thing all the time. Nothing is Impossible. Everything is Possible.
    • Exactly 3 months ago, uncle made this as a goal for 2020, and today, finally completed. Tiong Bahru MRT >>> Kim Tian Road >>> Bukit Merah Road >> Lower Delta Road >>> Marang Trail (Beside HarbourFront MRT) >>> Mount Faber Hill >>> Henderson Waves >>> Telok Blangah Hill >>> Caonpy Walk >>> Alexandra Road>>> Hort Park >>> Kent Ridge Park CP B to CP A >>> Science Park I >>> Kent Ridge MRT >>> NUH >>> Lower Kent Ridge >>> NUS Sports Recrection (Track & Field) >>> NUS 10KM Route.... Wah, this should be easily half-marathon effort if include NUS Campus...considering hilly terrain all the way. Abuthen, the NUS route is never be part of Ridge Runners 8th Anniversary Run 2020... Putting sentimental reason aside, last run here at NUS was with wifey and daughter since both are NUS Alumni...for NUS Run 2013. Wonder if there will be NUS Run 2020? Completed NUS-Southern Ridges as part of uncle's Trans Singapore Hilly Run. Where next, NTU.
    • tsk...tsk...tsk...@Lady Ice...off track...the rest are on👌 track... great to hear back from you...UK "live" reporting for sgRunners 😷
    • Have suggested to some large events that they consider changing their model for this time and do virtual runs / a league ladder to help inspire people to get active (not referring to those on here) @RaijinFC there are a lot of positives from this pandemic. With the lockdowns - a new normal is occurring and am hoping capitalism evolves. We now see who really are the important "key people" in this world and that they should be paid better / pay no tax / have better benefits. The air smells better in the UK with the lack of planes / manufacturing and have spoken to many people who said they are sleeping better. I presume this is from the reduction of running around trying to do the social thing, keeping up with the latest gadget..... when the economy is kick started people should look to buy local to help their local companies...... anyway better not write too much cos get scolding for being off track.
