Regretted not having joined this event in 2014. But then again, I didn't think I could cope with running in three events in a single weekend (Puma Night Run and Hello Kitty Run was also same weekend).

Hope this doesn't clash with anything this time round. So far date looking ok though.

You forget there was also CSC Run by the Bay.

But still too early to know if it will clash with other races pending announcement.

At least, the 2 races won't clash again this yr.

Oh. Ya. Too many races till forget what's on. Haha.

Yeah at least CSC Run and this run are on different dates. CSC is the week before right? Fingers crossed no clashes with other race.

I managed to review on the SIA Charity Run in 2014 and after reading through it, brought back memories about the run which I thought will be a one-off... the lucky draw prizes were attractive thus you can see from the photos that many stayed back to wait including myself....

I didn't even know about this 36th World Airline Road Race...

So does that mean SIA is organizing 10km runs back to back days?

I read that they organize this at different countries around the world annually... and this year happen to be Singapore.

Thanks for the link.

http://worldairlineroadrace.org/about-warr/executive-team-2/

Singapore Airlines is the "host committee"... not sure what level of involvement they will be in, but their logo is big big in the poster. My guess is that SIA staff will assist the team in the logistics of the run, whereas for SIA charity run they will outsource the logistics out to a race organizer.

Just realize it is organised by Hivelocity...I guess I will just eat my word and give my money to that guy again.

Registration is open. Details on fee and lucky draw updated on 1st post.

No mention of runner's entitlement other than in the FAQ: bib, the event guide, a running singlet and other sponsored items.

As mentioned by Arvin, HiV is the event organiser. So it will be interesting to see if people will continue to boycott this because of HiV involvement. One thing for sure, unlikely to be an ELM medal race (provided that there is a finisher medal)

Should point out that all proceeds raised from the Run will be donated to Community Chest.

Regardless, no medal no run! :bling:

Another account that Pink Apple has lost.

Looks like ELM medals will be getting more and more rare if they are the only one using them for runs.

No leh. HiV was also the event organiser in 2014.

If you are wondering why it was an ELM medal race, HiV was still issuing ELM medals for the races it organised in 2014. 2015 was the yr HiV stop giving out ELM medals starting with its 'signature' SDM. -_-

Pink Apple does account for most of the ELM medals but the races they organised are not the only one giving out ELM medals. Infinitius races also give out ELM medals but they dun organise as many races as Pink Apple.

there should be medal according to this FAQ. The issue now is, would it be ELM?

If I do not complete the race in the stipulated time-frame, will I be entitled to the finisher’s item such as the finisher medal?
No.

No.

I believe that FAQ is cut and paste from one of their past runs. Don't think it is reliable unless it is clearly stated as a runner entitlement.
