Advice for Overpronation

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I'm currently training for a marathon at the end of April. My pair of Asic Kayanos 20 has served me well and it's near the end of its life.

Would any experienced friends here be able to recommend a decent replacement? Quite keen to try out other brands too. I'm 180, 90kg and i primarily try to land on my forefoot.

Thanks,

Shawn

Hi Shawn, given your physique, you would require a well cushioned pair to ensure that there is minimal stress to your joints...Kayano is one of those "hardy" shoes that I had tried.. so i would recommend you to purchase back the same since it has served you well for so long...

You can try New Balance 860, 1260 series and they have wide (2E) and super wide (4E) cuts.

I wear both New Balance and Kayanos.

Kayanos are really expensive though! Are there comparable models or brands that are significantly cheaper?

Agree.. sometimes it's the mental comfort where shoes are tried and tested with.. maybe I was a bit more cautious after  I got injured ...
