2016 MSIG Taiwan Action Asia 50

Action Asia Events will hold the 2016 MSIG Taiwan Action Asia 50 on 12 November, 2016 at Shihmen Reservoir (Taoyuan County). Last year, over 600 runners from the world participated this race. Most of them

Definitely not a walk in the park - Elevation for 50km is more than 3 times that of Singapore

 

13 km - Minimum 700m+ elevation gain with Max elevation 551m. Big loop around Shimen mountain and back to Reservoir parking lot.

CP1 - for 13km category at 5.5km (cut-off at 5.5km cp1 at 3 hours)

Cut-off 5 hours for whole 13km.

 

21 km - Minimum 1000m elevation gain with Max elevation 551 m. Back to ridge up to 450m) Big loop around Shimen mountain then road waterfront until trail entrance on ridge and ridgeline back to Reservoir parking lot.

CP1  - 11km (Cut-off 4 hours)

Cut-off 9 hours for whole 21km.

 

50km -  Minimum 3016m elevation gain and 3049m elevation loss with Max elevation 591m.  Big loop around Shimen mountain then road waterfront until trail entrance on ridge, right turn doing 2 other large loops and ridgeline back to Reservoir parking lot.

Cut-off for 50k will be 7:00pm (14 hours) with mandatory headlamps for all runners. Must have spare batteries in headlamps.

CP1 - 11 km (cut-off at 4 hours)

CP2 -18 km (cut-off at 5 hours)

CP3 - 25 km (cut-off at 7 hours)

CP4 - 32 km (cut-off at 8 hours)

CP5 - 36 km (cut-off at 9 hours) (CP5 cut-off might change 30 minutes earlier - tbc)

Bro, if you can afford the time and $$, go for this better than TNF 100 SG...

LOL not thinking of attempting a 100km trail anytime soon. 50km will be my max for now. I see if it is possible to squeeze an overseas 50km trail next year.
