Sharing an offer on sports watches

Recommended Posts

Just sharing this short term offer that I saw on dcrainmaker's FB post.

http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/05/the-may-20th-sales-begin-garmin-wahoo-suunto-cycleops-saris-pebble-tomtom-pioneer.html

Based on my calculations, Garmin FR235 will costs S$350.  The usual price is $499 and the best price I had found is $449.

You should be able to ship to SG using Ezbuy Singapore for less than $10.

Yep.  It is cheaper because there is no base charge.  I paid $4 to ship Rhythm+ over.  If I had used Comgateway, it would be over $15

    • Nah 27km or 45km is too easy for him. Will still consider him making good of his words if he sign up 55km or 72km.
    • AutumnRunner must have just come out of deep hiatus as can see his post is now everywhere. This year's Craze Ultra, no more 100 miles! Also, Simonleng is the first one to register and has gotten the BIB #1. So surely you can expect to see him there.  May be to satisfy everyone once and for all, who's eager to see you take part in Craze Ultra, you can consider joining the new 27km category. 😂
    • Looks like they can't decide which is which. https://s.tgr.run/overview/ - It says ROAD here.
    • Lol. You looked too fast.  It's TGR brings to Singapore a hybrid trail/road marathon, half marathon and 10km!
    • This must be a record breaking feat as we already can register for a run that is more than 1 year from now.   YES 1 YEAR AHEAD. And the best part is? You can pull out your registration ANYTIME and they will refund you 100% of what you paid!  The only catch, besides the deadline of 31 July for registering this to enjoy this offer, is the ridiculous prices. It is probably the highest fees I have seen so far for a competitive run, and I already think that despite the good reviews for this year's run that happened just last Sunday, the high costs really do not justify what you will get for the race and entitlements, no matter how good it is. Yes the fees also cover a HK TGR run, but how many of us really do fly out to HK and enjoy the race slot that is included in the race fees? That said, this is actually a good marketing ploy to get more registration fees. I am guessing the average actual cost incurred per runner is likely to be less than half of the fees (Meaning they don't incur more than $30 cost for a 10km run, $40 for a 21km run and $50 for a 42km run. The resources are shared anyway.), so even if you turn up for both the runs, which is not very likely, they will earn profits anyway.
