New Release of Garmin GPS Running Watch: Forerunner 220 & 620

Recommended Posts

If only they have options to trade in. Haha.

Especially trading-in of 210 with disintegrated wristband! Even though the wristbands of the 220 and 620 are replaceable, I'm put off Garmin for selling something like the quality of the 210.

I'm very tempted to get the 620 as well.

Unfortunately even Navicom has no idea when it'll arrive on our shores.

Looks like our Singapore official Garmin distributor has no information about its availablity for sale in Singapore :(

I made the pre-order through clever training...the 10% off pays for shipping

That is a smart move to take advantage of the 10% discount. Are you using DC ranmaker affiliate link?

Sharing my experience of using 610 the so called to be phased out model...

it TOTALLY sucks...

The distributor never believe i didnt swim or put the watch under water, but sweat and water vapour somehow went inside.. the only thing i did was running and i'm quite a heavy sweater...

In Summary, not once but TWICE the watch was spoilt.

1st time underwarranty.... water vapour went in and the touchscreen was not responsive at all.. so much for technology because the touchscreen spoil, there's nothing you can do

2nd time exactly same issue, but this time it was out of warranty (only this june)... they offer to replace one for $220... in the end i choose NOT to replace and spend a bit more on 210 instead.

SO dun say you are not warned.. make sure u check out the difference between 610 and 610..

That is why i never trust a GPS watch with only basic water resistant level which doesn't allow water immersion. For Garmin 610, that was my main concern which i never buy it and opted for the lower end Garmin FR 10 which is fully waterproofed.

Actually, you should wait for 220 instead of buying 210 as 210's water resistance level is similar to 610. Just that it is button operated instead of touch screen.

Well, there are 2 detailed reviews of Garmin FR 220 and 620 separately which I have provided the links:
