Recommended Posts

Just when you thought it was safe to venture outside for a run! It's may be backkkkk!

We can clearly see a plume of haze forming over Riau but for now the wind seems to be blowing it away from Singapore for now.

The no of the hotspots has significant risen over the last 2 days.

HotSpots-2013-08-26_zpsea16d7e3.jpg

The satellite image show a large cloud of moderate haze over Sumatra.

But hopefully, the wind will remain favourable and continue to blow from the south and southeast. Rain are also forecast for the next few days, so hopefully it will mitigate the haze if the wind direction changed.

one of the idiots in my neighborhood also contributed to haze factor ...

saw the family piled up high and mighty joss paper up (saw at least 3-4 CARTONS of joss papers etc)

dimensions about 1 8-seater dining table size, literally a full table cos height to match too (70cm high at least)

out in open area ... no bins, no cage

set ablaze ... then littered area for effect to boot

as fire engulfs the "structure", it collapses and it's size more than easily doubled it's original

moments later the culprits made themselves scarce ... whilst flames still visible

shortly later firemen arrived in rhino ... and took over his chores

2 Malay firemen took turns with a stick poking here and there amongst the ashes

took them 20-30 mins to completely put out the fire as they opted not to use extinguisher etc bcos that might disperse the ashes and into people's homes
