Paid $50 for this 10km using NTUC membership.
Joined the 1st wave and flagged off at 5:59pm. The rolling course was challenging to run in, plus the first kilometre was choked full of runners on the narrow buggy track. The evening sun was still making it quite warm.
Was unfamiliar with the route and the terrain so I couldn't push myself hard, except the first kilometre just to shake off the crowd. My Suunto measured 10.39 km and the total elevation gain in this is only 70 metres despite the rolling "hills". Took just below 1 hour, far from my recent 10 km PB of 53' 45", but such routes are unlikely to produce any PB timing anyway.
An inspiring and detailed post-race write up of a runner's journey in completing her 100 miles at Craze Ultra!! She had to hold back tears and contend with heat, pain and extreme fatigue to push herself pass the finish line.....awesome, simply awesome!!!
