That's because after 50km, i still don't feel like dying. But after 101km....i felt like my soul has abandoned my body LOL
Oklar, if i'm gonna chiong 100 miles next year, you pace me the last 80km. Swee boh?? We do 80km walkathon back to MR
Well, you jump straight into 101km from your previously longest distance of 50km...that is 100% more than what you have ever done, yet you took the leap of faith anyway...
It is all in the mind bro....all in the mind...all in the mind....all in the mind....all in the mind......
Hahaha....you see me too up bro!!! I'm sure as long i'm not taking 40 hours to complete 100 miles, Ben will be flexi to extend some leeway. If i'm aiming for sub 17 hours for 101km, definitely won't be going for 100 miles and vice versa. But 100 miles is not just an additional 20+ km, which i've been using to poison people to upgrade to 101km instead of 74km LOL. The additional 60km is more than 50% of my 101km.....so scary!!! Someone will probably have to hypnotize me to sign up for 100 miles next year
wow, this was really a challenging one...
the constant up/down, hundreds of turns, lots of sunshine and only two water stops.
Felt really proud when crossing the line.
The organizers did a great job, lots of friendly volunteers, clearly marked course and best of all races in SG:
the cooool air-conditioned changing room in the clubhouse with the luxurious showers
and of course the cold beer after the race in the nearby bar.
The trophies and the price money were also very attractive in my humble opinion (even I didn't get close)
Three suggestions for a better experience next time:
- pls set up some km-markers; ideally at every km, but at least at 3,5,7,8,9. It helps so much !
- set up another water stop - ideally at 3,6 and 8.5km. Two was not enough in this heat.
- start at 18:30 or 19:00. The headline: SG's only night golf-club race is not accurate if start is at 6pm.
Overall - A BIG THANK YOU to all organizers and the OCC Team - keep going !
When will the results be published ?
