  1. Singapore Heart Foundation is having monthly talk near every month end, all the way till December 2018. Everyone is welcome to join and learn more about how nutrition can impact our health in both good and bad ways! Light refreshment will be provided for the hourly talk. Sugar - Sweet with a Bitter Aftertaste Sugar - Sweet with a bitter aftertaste (28th September 2018) Did you know that most of us consume a lot more sugar than we should and that too much sugar in the diet is detrimental to our health? Some sources of sugars are what we would have never thought about and have been consuming it unknowingly. Come and learn about the different names of sugars, how to identify hidden sugars and how to reduce sugar intake.     Project Novo is a service-learning project group from Hwa Chong Institution, collaborating with Parkinson Society Singapore (PSS) and Central Singapore CDC in organising the inaugural Run for Parkinson's 2017 on 13 August at Pasir Ris Park from 8am to 12pm!Run for Parkinson's is a non-competitive walk/run event to raise awareness for Parkinson's. There are two different routes to choose from, a 5km and 8km route. Participants are entitled to an event shirt as well as a goodie bag.Registration starts at $20 if you sign up in groups of four or more, and $25 for individual sign-ups. Registration will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
