untilThe Atacama Crossing (Chile), is a 7-day, 250-kilometer / 155-mile self-supported footrace located in the Atacama Desert, the driest desert in the world located in north of Chile. Starting at 3,300 meters / 10,500 feet above sea level, the course takes competitors through canyons and valleys (including the rainbow coloured Arcoiris Valley, the Valley of Death and the Valley of the Moon), up old Inca roads, past salt lakes and small Chilean villages, and across sand dunes, salt flats and rivers, always surrounded by a range of stunning volcanoes including the iconic Licancabur at 5,920 meters / 19,420 feet. Competitors will race more than 1 mile above sea level, covering the horizontal crossing of the country of Chile (250 kilometers / 150 miles). untilSahara Race (Namibia) 2017 is a 7-day, 250-kilometer / 155-mile self-supported footrace located in the Namib Desert in the Skeleton Coast National Park. The course takes competitors across stunning desert terrain in the oldest desert of the world. Competitors will cross a great diversity of scenery and terrain including beaches where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean, traverse through Seal colonies, salt pans, salt lakes which are home to flamingos, the infamous dunes of the Namib desert, into dry riverbeds where a hint of water gives way to lush green vegetation, past deserted oil and diamond mines and across vast open red desert plains and hills. untilRacingThePlanet: Patagonia 2017 is a 7-day, 250-kilometer / 155-mile self-supported footrace which takes place in Bariloche in Argentina. It’s a one –off race that is part of the 4 Deserts Race Series. The course presents a great variety of Patagonian landscape including dry pampas, ancient forests, pristine blue mountain lakes, high plateaus, vast views of valleys, rivers as well as peaks of the Andes Mountain Range including El Tronador, an extinct volcano located along the border between Argentina and Chile; and Ventisquero Negro, the black glacier, one of the eight glaciers formed around the mountain. Competitors will also experience life in local villages with friendly locals, Gauchos, as they traverse the 250 kilometer course.
