Nice seeing all the TFB and the other runners, did my solo, lone wolf run fr my place to my mum's. Simei - Clementi think i might just make it an annual affair kinda nice. Did that last year too before Sundown. Took the route, Tampines, loyang, netheravon road and hitting changi village, changi coastal, ECP, Ford road, Kampung Arang, Nicoll highway, Marina, Orchard, Holland road and Clementi Ave 2 market for breakfast. The distance 46km. I suffered tremendously from 39km onwards oweing to sleep deprivation and was like a zombie, sleepwalking...go to know that, coz i would be using ginseng on the actual sundown itself. I was accompanied by a big group of cyclists along loyang, and i thought i would be lonely along the stretch but as i started along changi beach park saw familiar faces of the TFB and especially along the long and winding changi coastal road more so was a nice respite sayinhg 'hi" to all the kakis. I do the lonewolf thingy coz to overcome the mental part of being alone or rather last in the pack...it also gives me a signal to know how i would fare on the actual day itself. I do not like to do loops but with Sundown got not much choice but on actual race day at least will not be alone at least with some volunteers along the way and drinking stations too. I find running from East to West kinda refreshing and ok for person like me who does not drive. After which i went over to mum's and slept for about 3 hours before taking the train home.

Hope all runners will be well hydrated the weather is heating up, the sun can be scorching. Sky is relatively clear as of now from the east with stars. Just in case might be good for those who feel the need to put on sun block too. Enuff said enjoy your run! Will hopefully be back to joining u fellows soon after nursing my injury.

Dream and Ultra thanks for organising this morning's wonderful and cooling run for us "tourists". The route is a welcome change from the ECP routes and certainly was real challenging and i enjoyed it thoroughly. Thanks too for the 100 plus, bananas from the HKB (hokkien beng) and the nice and sweet tasting kumquat. Love the hills and rough terrain find that its much kinder to my legs and back compared to the hard concrete grounds of ECP. Just that gotta watchout for the uneven grounds, rocks and sometimes the tree branches which are low hanging. Just wished i was living near there and would go there running more often. Bug u made a very good call to stop when u saw the golfer teeing off, thru enuff it was an OB had u continue running with your speed it might just had been a close call. It made me run faster after seeing what happened. Two thumbs up for this mornings run with the wet weather it was cooling and less people taking a walk in the reserve. Enjoyed the run thoroughly though i made a very silly mistake on the way home....haiz and was fuming mad with meself.

yo zco, i tried the peanut-butter and it works for me... not having that hungry feeling liao :tongue_smilie: Great! Another thing like to share with all runners. Another one of the food which helps one sustain energy is cheap and good. Sweet potatoe, steam it and you are ready to go. To your liking, one can sprinkle some salt on it and it will be dual purpose.(salt stick sweet potatoe) Was shopping with my kids at Tampines Toys r Us and chanced upon the "noodle" foam which is acutally used in the pool for water aerobics, kids to play with in the pool. I tested it and it seems to be relatively hard. Was thinking if you fellows happen to see it, maybe can try and see if it is suitable for massaging the ITB. The foam is those of hard material and its cheap only $6.95 and can be cut and shared among a few runners.

Dream, thanks for accompanying during the last stretch great way of catching up and sharing with me about the group's exploit during the Korean back to back marathon and also not forgetting the sweets and the chocolate cakes there were great! To the guy my apologies my bad memory has let me down once again can only remember that Dream saying that you run at IBP i-run and thanks for the 100-plus. Ultra thanks also for the drinks!Had a nice time chatting with DO, Max, KK, Raven, and Bug there were plenty of sharing of the overseas exploits.
