  1. The Woodlands Waterfront checkpoint last year was only utilized for the 100 miles category. As there is no 100 miles for this year, hence that CP is not necessary.
  2. Already marked the dates on my calendar. I'm glad the race is back...although there's no longer 100 miles.

Standard Chartered KL Marathon (29 Sept 2019)

Just do it! I ran the HM twice. I find it quite nice to run there...
  5. In my opinion, i think Garang Warrior Ultra is more mentally draining. Going in loops in the trail with almost the same sceneries of trees, trees and more trees over 12 hours can make one go nuts after a few loops. Craze Ultra is more 'fun' cos you'll see different parts of the island throughout the race, and there's always a next checkpoint to look forward to reaching. Great respect to you too for taking part at Garang Warrior Ultra.

Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2018, 8 April

Guys!!! @prisangel updated me earlier that for KL Marathon, the balloting is only for first time Malaysian runners. First time foreign runners (Singaporeans included) are exempted from the balloting. When registering at the official website https://register.kl-marathon.com/2019/ , you'll see the page below. Just select Register Now under Foreign Residents to proceed to key in your details and make payment. You'll receive your registration confirmation right away. $70 for a FM, not too bad actually.

    OSIM Sundown Marathon - 1 June 2019

$63 for a FM is still very much more worthwhile than $95...whopping $30 difference!! 🤑

    OSIM Sundown Marathon - 1 June 2019

I've decided to give this race a miss this year. $95 (current Early Bird rate) for a FM is a bit too excessive for me. Gonna finally break my Sundown Marathon streak which started back in 2009.
  10. Agree, 101km is actually quite siong 😵 Regardless of how many times one has run this race, it still presents different sets of challenges each time.
  11. Well am i glad to hear that Craze Ultra will be back again this year!! Yes, i'll be signing up again for 101km once registration opens. It's my annual MUST DO event.
  12. All the best to everyone heading over to SCHKM this weekend!

Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2018, 8 April

    Awesome reminder LOL
  14. The only time i used the 'toilet' was right after flag off, i ran towards the bushes just after exiting the F1 pit and joined a line of runners firing into the dark 😅
  15. For under armour running and finisher tees, i've learned to order 1 size smaller than my other shirts.
  16. Anyway, it's flu season now. Load up on those vitamins everyone. Even i just recovered from a bout of flu. Race day is close. Train safe, stay healthy peeps!!
  17. Confirm will meet the sun lahhhh!!! Unless i can finish it within 2:30 hours hahahahaha I might be tough, but i'll never be that fast....trained or untrained 😂
  18. Better the rain than getting baked under the sun. If it rains, confirm many PBs!! LOL
  19. Welcome back uncle! So it is confirmed that we'll be running on top of the Westcoast Highway....not below it. Just hope to go pass this stretch before the sun rises, as there's totally zero shelter.
  20. I've not decided yet, but will b tempted. Sounds interesting in my opinion...
  21. I've done the 50km at The North Face 100 and MSIG 50 before, but not this one. A different beast to tackle all together due to the uneven terrain and elevation. Yes, the shades will provide some shelter, but not all parts of the trail are sheltered such as the Belukar trail. During the hottest part of the day (12.00pm - 4.00pm), the trees will actually trap the heat in the trail, that's something you'll need to get used to during training. All the best buddy!!
  22. Yes, and finish walking the FM below 6 hours too 💪
  23. means you're more than equipped to run 42km now 😉
