  1. I thought Its about the wrong sizing... I think the colour is very bright... And unique... Wear this from far will know is this race tee... Haaa
  2. I didn't see the mascot leh. ... but the water week race pack has quite a few useful things such as the inflatable water bottle.
  3. Yup.... its one of the cheaper events locally so the items so far are value for money... just ensure the Race itself is ok. .. that's most important....
  4. Thanks Joe for the explanation. One more week to the race.... and i am excited..... I usually wear singlets to run so since this is event tee, i wun be wearing it to run for 21km... i will try to search for a similar colour singlet then.... hahah..... think hard to find......
  5. It's the race experience that matters a lot to me as well... For last few community runs attended , they were quite well organised too... I think in the end Joe forgotten to update about the start point issue I asked for 10km runners when returning 21 runners might smack into......hope its solved... So far so good for me too ... jiayou for Joe and team...
  6. They thought that when you train for the race, u will have slimmed down so they discount the 1 inch mah. .. haaa. ...
  7. there might just be no answer too....hahaha.... we might only be able to know if they had made adjustments to the starting pt of 10km on the day itself after 21km runners ran their first round....haah.... just enjoy the race ba...
  8. that is true also.... i changed everytime too.... anyway recently there was a period when we cannot upload any runs to Garmin Connect... i think it was solved and i could do it last weekend......
  9. seems like they have not solved this issue or that no one has feedback to them.....
  10. Replied from Joe.... He saw our comments here but did not reply yet as he was still in discussion and taking in our comments to come up with a solution before posting here..... so let's just wait a while more for him to sort this out.... he also explained the reasons for unable to change to some of the proposed routes by our members here.... mainly to ensure that the park is still open to the public use..... so let's just hope that on that day, things are well planned.......
  11. since the numbers are to the "ones" digit... i think its by the number of runners who crossed the line....
  12. true.... done that.... waiting for the organiser's reply.....
  13. Just say hi only la.... and maybe tell him my concerns lo. ... and let him know his efforts are appreciated. ...haa
  14. Maybe during the race pack collection can do a last minute effort to find him.....
  15. Yah. ...think most things are finalised and he might not think that we will have further feedbacks. ....
  16. Hi Joe, Unsure if you would come into the sgrunner forum before the start of the event.... since the timing of the different categories of runs cannot be changed.... i hope u can consider (or maybe already considered) to have at least a path for the 21km runners to run past the crowd when the 10.5km runners set off.... reason being that given the narrow path of about 3-3.5m... when the 10.5km runners report to the starting pen, they will sure crowd up the entire pathway... and after 1hr (7.30am), many runners are starting their 2nd round and would smack right into the bulk of 10.5km runners... the path is for 21km runners to bypass the crowd.... secondly, i hope there will be a dedicated path on the right of the pathway maybe for the first 1km of the loop to ensure that the 21km runners will not be blocked by the walkers or slower runners of 10.5km runners..... Thanks. Great point for consideration, particularly if the starting pen is part of the loop itself. Even if it isn't, the dedicated path for different categories would definitely ease any congestion, though I'm speculating that a dedicated path for each category may have to be particularly narrow due to an already narrow route. The narrow part, no choice... better than none i felt..... so just hope the organiser would hear from us and do this little thing to ensure there will not be more complaints......
  17. thanks man....need some time to look thru and locate....

  19. i think most of us here are a forgiving lot..... and if the actual incident dun happen to us, then the impact isn't so great..... although I blog about some of the main issues, but I am looking at it from a 3rd person's perspective too..... i am trying t ocover all angles and give all readers the full picture for them to consider the race in 2016.... personally, i did not meet most of the issues.... But just like many mentioned about Sundown and SCMS, there are also many issues.... some dun even have timing... pple still flock to it.... one think about marina run is that it offers HM evening run ... and many are attracted to it in this way.....
  20. Which just support my argument that finisher tee of any kind should only be given for the longest distance and only for distance of at least HM. There is only one reason why finisher tee is given to the 10K runners and that is to attract runners to sign up. yes.... and maybe boost the profit up a little since purchasing tees in such big bulk is quite low cost....
  21. Yup. Hope they wun make the same mistake again in 2016. Nevertheless, if a runner (10km) was given a 21km finisher tee, the onus is still on the runner to reject since it is not something that u have worked hard for. No pride wearing it anyway. Remembering 2014 Run350, 21km was cancelled due to the rain, but organiser still gave out the tee to all 21km runners. I was hesitating whether to take or not since I did not physically run it. But knowing if don't take also wasted the tee. So just take. Until now didn't really wear it that often... when they handed out the finisher tee to us..... the 10km or 21km wording is hidden within.... i always assume that organisers/volunteers will not make such a mistake thus i do not have the habit to check... so maybe some runners dont check till they are home....anyways its quite rare that races give out finisher tees for more than 1 category..... so this could be a rare mistake
