    2XU Compression Run 2019 - 07 Apr (Sun)

Their answer is not unexpected what. Which is why this kind of races, can never tell whether the course is accurate. If you trust your watch, just use the average pace times 21.1km lor. You want accurate distance, run 52 rounds a stadium lor. Even then may not be accurate haha.

    2XU Compression Run 2019 - 07 Apr (Sun)

Expected to have inconsistencies. At the end of the day, just use your own watch lor. Whether a race is long or short, just use the pace per km and multiply by the exact distance. Then can compare across your own races liao. If it’s the best timing you ever had based on this mode of calculation, then it’s PB lor.

    STGR - Uglow Marathon 1st December 2018

Just found out about this. Haha. Considering this but a bit turned off by the starting time for FM. Don’t seem to be many water stations as well.
  8. I thought it is already partially outsourced? I recall the race pack collection was done by outsourced vendor. Maybe their concern is not manpower nor money to organize and subsidize the run. They have to review whether safe for NSFs, and if not compulsory for units to take part, can it still be called AHM/safra run?

    2XU Compression Run 2019 - 07 Apr (Sun)

Didn’t sign up this year. I think AHM will likely be the only HM I do each year.
  10. Thinking of downgrading this year. 101km too siong for me.
  11. Paging bro Autumnrunner haha
  12. Well I certainly hope the govt and Singaporean residents can just Jump In the Fire, One time. Nothing Else Matters.

    OSIM Sundown Marathon - 1 June 2019

4 eeeks gap is ok if you’re just taking it easy for sundown.
  15. Uncle you don’t anyhow suggest people run on WCH hor. Wait they kena accident your conscience forever pricked.
  16. Hehe run nearer to the bin then throw next time. Or train at home throw into wastepaper basket for a month before SCSM. Hahaha!
  17. Haha. @yh90 next time be more conscious lah. That 1-2 seconds spent making sure you throw properly may even mean faster timing cos you’re also “resting” your legs. No need chiong at water stations wan. Nowadays I just chill and even walk while drinking. I find that it doesn’t waste much time overall cos my poor legs get to have some rest. It’s a loong race! Honestly I still don’t get why empty cups are thrown on the floor at water stations. Not even near the bins ie throw and missed kind. Runners obviously drink and just drop the cups while running!
  18. I think I read somewhere before the organisers have plans to convert SCSM to evening race. With fireworks and all. This would also solve the “no supporters” problem somewhat. Not sure whether still on the cards.
  19. Did autumnrunner use the portable toilets at some other location other than the ones directly in front of F1 pit? From his post, he seems to have entered the baggage deposit area which was different from mine. For me, the express entrance for those without baggage was on the right instead. One more thing - I also wish the queue for massage can be differentiated for marathoners and half-marathoners. I joined the queue initially but decided to give up. Queue was not that long but I couldn't stand for too long.
  20. I distinctly remember seeing a sign that says the cut off time is based on individual start time (i.e. and not the official gun time.)
  21. Everything a massive improvement. They really bucked up this time. Even the volunteers were so enthusiastic. Kudos to them all. Well done! But I don’t really like the west coast highway. Maybe it’s just me. I don’t mind the long walk after the finish as it helps to cool down. But the weather was so hot that it was quite unbearable. I wonder what might happen if there is heavy rain. There isn’t enough space for everyone to hide at f1 pit. Where are all those sitting on the tarmac going to find shelter?
  22. Finally they seem to have learnt from how major marathons handle water stations? Let’s hope it will be the same tomo. Btw, were there any problems distinguishing the plain water from isotonic tables?
  23. I’m going to put a shoe bag inside. I doubt the volunteers will enforce that strictly. For Tokyo Marathon i recall I had no problems putting an entire large bag inside the transparent bag and nobody bothered (except to accept it with a smile!).
  24. It’s true. Men’s size XS and S our of stock There is a small single digit numerical number indicated on the bib Does anyone know what it stands for? I’m not referring to the alphabet which is the pen
