  1. Pink Apple has caved! Now multiple submission is allowed (up to 6 entries)! In addition, those who signed up for the race in 2019/2020 will be given a race entry for the next physical race. I guess it's part of Pink Apple's effort at damage control and appease some of those who has signed up. Of cos, it's impossible to please everyone but if they made less people unhappy with the above, then I think it's a good move on their part. Personally, I was not even going to verify my participation because it will be extremely difficult to run a HM distance in one go. Now t

  3. Mass running on the scale of 2XU is not coming back this year. And possibly next year. The authority just announced a pilot scheme allowing 250 participants. That is not even 10% of the typical scale of 2XU. So there's no way Pink Apple can think about holding a race this year. And there's probably no way they can refund the participants (most of the monies from registration is probably spend by now).   4. Interestingly, this is the exact route I run often, but just in the reverse direction. Not much shelter along the way so I’ll suggest avoiding peak sunlight hours.

  5. Many of the races are implementing the booking of timeslots. Not sure if this is going to be the new normal moving forward, even after the pandemic. I am sure this will be effective in easing congestions at race site or during the race routes, but it adds another layer of pressure if you aren't fast enough during the registration and you are stuck with less ideal timeslots. I remembered that too, so for the sake of a unique race experience I will consider signing up for this. Again, I am going to harp on the price - why am I charged more for running a longer distance, if there is

The app is good.... it is just like if you are driving a car... the way the GPS works... and as we run past some places of interest, there will be some introduction as well... its quite fun, but i do get lost once a while, unclear if need to cross the bridge or not, so would need to take out my phone and look at the GPS...
