The Gold Coast Airport Marathon not only broke participation records on a beautiful Queensland day on Sunday (1 July) but can rightfully re-stake its claim to be the best marathon event in Australia. A total of 16,200 people from 30 countries took part in the six events – including close to 2,000 from overseas and 3 of our very own SGRunners - Freddy, RealRunner and Shortlegs.
