Comments: If the Vomero1 won hands down as the best cushioning shoes of the Bowerman series, the Vomero2 continues the legacy. A noticeable change would be the wider forefoot as Nike adopts a cutting for shoes for Asian feet. Equip with a full length air cushioning, the Vomero2 is soft to the feet upon landing with excellent heel to toe transition, giving the runner that “bouncy” feeling when running. Poor breathability of the mesh material, however, makes the feet a little warm when the distance gets long or the pace fires up. Too soft cushioning and high forefoot flexibility also made the shoes unstable when running on trail but it felt excellent on road (asphalt).
Recommended for: High mileage runners who under-pronates or neutral/normal gait with good running biomechanics.
