Race Review for MR25 Singapore Ultra Marathon

1. Race Intro
The Ultra Marathon was first organised in 1978. In those times, only the crazy runners or the so-called elites, could run in the competition as the routes were not as what we have today. Now, it is an annual event organised by the Macritchie Runners 25 (MR25) running club in Singapore on the last Sunday of every year at the Macritchie Reservoir, whether it is rain or shine.

2. Registration & Race Packet Pick-up
Registration for the race is pretty simple. You just need to turn up between 6.30am to 7.00am on the day of event, and register on the spot. For the 2006 race, it is free for all MR25 running club members and a mere $10.00 for non-members. Once you register, you will be given your bib number. Timing are done manually and there is an event clock ticking away at the transition/end-point. No electronic timing chip is used to keep the cost down.
