the first one, i was running with commando, until sungei kadut, he asked me to go ahed. than just a few km ahead at chua chu kang, i met dong and dong followed me to woodlands road near assumption english school. than, i thought i am going to run alone, than i met carine! after meeting carine, going towards bukit timah road, and went intowards the junction of lornin road, i met yankeeII! reaching macritchie reservoir, my buddy, chew keng tok waiting for me, than after lunch off we go towards sembawang.
along the thomson road, i saw somebody shouting at me inside the car, and yes, that was tiwazz!! haha! and asked to slow down, i have alread slowed down, the slowest i can go is to crawl. hehe.
than reaching the sembawang chopping center. i saw a group of guys wearing sgrunners t-shirt jumping and waving at me! haha! and yeah! it was sotong, who would ever miss him and map reader, gentle, the GPS tracker, tiwaz and his friend and definitely our real time forum updater kops21! wooohooo!

than at junction towards the tampines rd. everyone left, accept for DO, yojanjan and brokenrunner and we braved on along the tampines road. going towards old tampines road taz joined us. wahhhahaha! sgrunners support seem never ending right from the begginning.
what i can say to the rest forummers, if you need anything, you can count on sgrunners. they are there willing to give you support! my salute to them, everytime i felt like i wanna quit, thinking of sgrunners joining me, it pushed me on.
aniwei, i am really disappointed that i let down all of you.
my main purpose of this run as stated in the forum earlier, is just to have fun and see how far i go. i never trained for running ultra run, the last time i ran was 2 weeks ago, and i never ran eversince. aniwei, it’s a good training for me for my future runs.
Anyway, the most important thing about the run is that I enjoyed each and everyone company and i mean SgRunners.COM!!! It is really great u know to have u all there!!! Really really really happy about it! Thanks everyone!
Without you all, I have already quit much earlier, cos I find no reason in completing it.

I really have a great time pacing with Ngee Huat in this run. I was together with DO and DREAMRUNNER plus a friends for MR25 and NTU. When we arrived at station 24 it was about somewhere before 6.30pm. Waiting for quite awhile, then we started off at about 7:15pm. Adrian come in about 7pm 15min early than Ngee Huat. When he reached station he had no escort runners with him. So two runners from MR25 tag along with him. They were both non-singaporean.
At that time we found that only left 4 of the key runner is still running. Finally when Ngee Huat came we saw quite a few escort runner is with him. So we start our run with him. DO did not follow. He was waiting for TLR to support him. Before we reached station 25. The key runner have massage and doctor check up. We had quite a break there. By then it started to have light rain.
When we reach 26 only one runner tag along. When coming at the end of old tampine road we had toilet break among the bushes. Btw the escort vechicle that follow the key runner had lots of water supply. So we managed to hydrate ourselves. When we reach st 27 meteor and vox were there waiting already. More fresh runner join in. After running for almost 2 hrs to st31 vox left to prepare for 2nd link run. Meteor follow us until somewhere at st33 after the sailing club, I say goobye to her and she hop into a taxi and left. From there on my mind was set to complete a marathon till end st35 katong cc where there is hot coffee waiting for us.
The most interesting thing happen during this run was when Ngee Huat overtake Adrian after PA sea sprt club where we heard one of the person from the escort vehicle told us that he is just 200m ahead of us. We continue to run at our usual pace until we saw adrian and the rest were walking. We were glad that we are able to catch up with him. From there onward. Our spirit were suddenly energise. Finally when we reached the end of 3rd marathon at katong CC it was 2.50am. From there on I decided to stop my run and call it a day. I thought I can get a free ride to someone back home when I approach the orgainiser. But end ending up running until suntec city and then I was “so lucky” a free ride from a group of poeple who happens to go back too! what a great night/morning I had.

really great to see the truth spirit of running in sgrunners.
start good from Esplanade station, manage to see ‘commando’ near Hwa Par Villa area…catch up with him at abt West Coast Rd area..we had a good time chatting and walking after that. His legs really tired after more then 3 marathons hail.gif …really good Man!
We tag along behind the Adrain Mok convoy walking all the way to NTU. The walk seems more tiring then running, exercising different set of muscles…but the chit chat along the way was fun and interesting.
Really hope they had another long run next yr, where we can all come out in force again to support each other and make use of it to bond us closer along the way.
Cheers to all SgRunners

This shoes that running is never a lonely sport…is never a sport for individual only. It is the spirit of friendship and sportsmanship that make running and especially marathons and ultramarathons something special that exist on earth in this universe.

Hello Sukami,
The NTU run was really a tough one. Not 1 but 4 marathons amouting to 168km. Any runner who could complete half the distance shd be consider as a winner.
You did well despite not able to complete the full distance.
The 4th marathon was really a rough one. They claimed that the distance was the longest at 45km. Man, the final 10 km was really something when Nghee Huat had decided to adopt a sub 7min/km. He has his last massage at Chinese garden MRT station. Thereafter was all the way till NTU, no stop.
The final 5 km were really bad when we pushed ourselves to the maximum limit. Luckily the water van was around and they kept on pouring ice water on our bodies. The final 1km was brillent, I think we ran at 4-5min/km. My heart was almost stop and I felt as if my spirit was ahead of my body. There was a great sensation when a few hundred or thousands of people cheering at us from both sides of the road before reaching the stadium.
And finally, we have made it to NTU stadium. Unfortunately all escort runners were not meant to go on stage. I was stopped at about 10m away from Nghee Huat and was escorted to the side to rest.
I was happy and proud for MR25 team who has fulfilled the mission to escort Nghee Huat till the end.
Believe it or not, I have no blister not even a single one on either of my foot…..thanks to my new Speed Stars! It was worth the investment.
After about a few minutes of resting, I was back to my old self again. Strange enough, I did not encounter any legs pain and was walking around to look for food at NTU. I guess I was more hungry than anything else.
Hmmm….today is Wednesday and I can feel the energy is fully recharged again.
Another 168km next year? Anyone?
Cheers.

Aik Hock
